Fire Wardens Training Course
Course description
This training is designed for appointed fire wardens, to enable them to carry out their duties effectively. This training fulfils the employer’s duty to provide training as required by the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997.
The training will provide fire wardens with a detailed knowledge and understanding of fire safety, which will allow them to undertake their duties effectively. By the end of the course attendees will understand how their actions can:
- Avoid the occurrence of fire
- minimise fire growth
- minimise smoke spread
- protect personnel in the event of fire
Aim and objectives of the course
The aim of the training is to enable appointed fire wardens to implement company fire safety policy and procedures, to protect personnel. This will be achieved by providing attendees with the knowledge and understanding of their duties and responsibilities, and how to carry them out effectively.
Course content
- Hazard Identification, fire prevention
- Activities to maintain means of escape
- Implementation of evacuation procedures
- Practical demonstration of fire fighting equipment.
- Extant Legislation
Course venue
This course can be run on the clients’ premises, sites, or at a pre-arranged venue.
