Demolition Operative Safety Awareness

Course description

This course has been developed so as to meet the full requirements of the demolition safety requirements and is designed for candidates who have had no training on demolition and those requiring refresher training.

Aim and objectives of the course

To train candidates in the correct procedures and systems required when carrying out basic demolition operations on-site.

By the end of the course the candidates will have a full understanding of their duties and responsibilities when carrying out demolition operations and will have been given instruction on the legislations for demolition operations.

  • Health and safety legislations including PPE requirements
  • Abrasive wheels
  • Hand arm vibration
  • Safe working practices in demolition
  • Asbestos / lead awareness
  • Risk assessments and method statement requirements.
  • Noise at work requirements
  • Manual handling
  • Electricity and fire on-site procedures

Course venue

This course can be run on the clients’ premises, sites, or at an arranged venue.
